This book is very solid for both its name and the content in it. It is interesting how all arts-related professions, we have the specific ‘eyes’ for each profession that the viewers are not trained to and these ‘eyes’ are developed through time, practice, and observation.

The Filmmaker’s Eye basically emphasizes on things like extreme close up shots, long shots, and medium closeups. Also things like tracking shots with movement. Mercudo also went into how to light those scenes. The visual in this book is absolutely fantastic, it gives us clear examples of shots from film and break them down.
