RESPONSE TO VAN SIJLL CH. 14+15

Van Sijll's chapter on prop is what I think is essential in storyboarding and film making in general. Props and wardrobes are often ignored by many viewers, however, they can play important roles in the film.

This reminds me of the importance of props in my Film Analysis and Reverse Storyboarding on Satoshi Kon's Paprika. Kon, for example is very renowned for his use of props, every single objects put in each cuts in the film are there on purpose. The same goes to every good major films. They can be used to symbolize, to narrate, to emphasis characters, to clarify the points the story is trying to make, and even foreshadow events that is about to happen.
